Food can play a role in keeping inflammation in your body to a minimum. Highly refined foods such as sugar and hydrogenated vegetable oils are example foods that you want to stay away from as they cause inflammation in the body.
So what are foods that you want to consume to keep inflammation to a minimum.
Vegetables include
Bell Peppers, Bok Choy, Broccoli, Broccoli Sprouts, Brussels Sprouts, Cabbage, Cauliflower, Chard Collards, Fennel Bulb, Garlic, Green Beans, Green Onions/Spring Onion,s Kale Leeks, Olives, Spinach, Sweet potatoes, Turnip Greens
Fruits include
Acerola (West Indian) Cherries, Apples, Avocados, Black Currants, Blueberries, Fresh Pineapple, Guavas, Kiwifrui,t Kumquats, Lemons, Limes, Mulberries, Oranges, Papaya, Raspberries, Rhubarb, Strawberries, Tomatoes
Nuts and Seeds
Almonds Flaxseed/Linseed Hazelnuts Sunflower Seeds Walnuts
Adding anti inflammatory foods and eliminating inflammation foods will help to make you feel better. Some Scientists have gone as far to say that inflammation is the main thing that causes all most all health problems today.
Many athletes think that because they train tons they can eat what ever they want. How your body reacts to the foods that you eat is under looked factor much of the time. Sure you may be able to eat a big mac and look fit but what is that doing to your arteries? You can be sure that a big mac is doing very little to prevent inflammation in your body as well.
